Menu customisation and site title question

Hi

I don’t know if I’m being a bit stupid, but how do you set up the menu to appear as it does on the theme example page – i.e. with each page listed, rather than as a generic ‘menu’ label?

Also, I’ve included my logo, but that pushes the site title onto two lines of text, where I’d rather have it on one line. Can I add some custom CSS to make it do this?

(Related to this, the option for site title and description is ticked, but I don’t see the description appearing anywhere – why is this?)

Help would be greatly appreciated!
