Simply Static + Vagrant > Unable to write to local directory

Having some issues getting simply static to write the files to a local folder. When I pull up diagnostics, it says that it can’t write to the local folder. [X] FAIL

For kicks, I set that folder to 777 permissions, but it still doesn’t work. I checked the web server user and it matches up with the user/group permissions.

I’m on OSX using Vagrant + VirtualBox Headless, running Nginx for a web server.

Anyone else run into this issue?
